Car Parking Plan for H&B Junior
HELL & BACK Winter: It's going to get mucky!

Online ticket sales close at 23:59 on Tues 25th Feb - secure your car parking spot before the deadline!

On Saturday 1st March, thousands of Hellraisers will be taking on the HELL & BACK Winter Warrior Challenge and, as we gear up for the big day with an expected 850 cars, it's essential to plan your transportation wisely by reading our comprehensive Car Parking Plan.

PARKING LOCATIONS

This year, we are excited to officially launch Giltspur Basecamp as an adult event location for the first time. Located in the heart of Killruddery Estate, this area will host the Event Village, including:

  • Food and drinks

  • First aid

  • Toilets

  • Start and Finish Lines

To ensure efficient parking and traffic flow, there will be two designated car parks:

  • Killruddery Car Park – For Wave 1 participants (opens from 07:00)

  • Southern Cross Road IDA Car Park – For Wave 2 to 6 participants

Follow the Visual Display Signs on approach, be patient and obey the instructions from parking attendants who will guide you to an available space.

CARPOOLING

To reduce congestion and minimise environmental impact, we strongly encourage carpooling.

  • Fewer cars will make parking easier and quicker for everyone.

  • Share a ride with teammates or friends to help reduce traffic delays.

DIRECTIONS & SITE ACCESS

For navigation, use the following Google Map links:

Please follow directional signs and instructions from parking attendants. Traffic will be heavy, so allow plenty of time for arrival.

Car Park Guidelines:

  1. Killruddery Car Park (Wave 1)

    • Follow instructions on Digital Signs upon approach.

    • Allow 10-15 minute walk to Registration.

    • Allow 5-10 minute walk from Registration to Start Line in Giltspur.

    • Allove 15-25 minute walk from Finish Line to Car Park.

    • Expect 10-15 minutes to exit at peak times.

  2. Southern Cross IDA Car Park (Waves 2-6)

    • Follow instructions on Digital Signs upon approach.

    • Allow 10-15 minute walk to Registration.

    • Allow 5-10 minute walk from Registration to Start Line in Giltspur.

    • Allove 15-25 minute walk from Finish Line to Car Park.

    • Entry and exit will be quicker than Killruddery due to direct access onto a roundabout.

Car Park Alternations:

We may need to alternate parking locations throughout the day. Please follow the instructions on large Digital Signs on Southern Cross Road to ensure you enter the correct car park.

IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A SPECTATOR-FRIENDLY EVENT!

The Car Parks are some distance from the Start/Finish Line. Given the time of year and potential underfoot conditions, the walk may not be suitable for everyone.

Estimated Walking Times:

  • Car Park to Registration: 10-15 minutes

  • Registration to Start Line & Event Village: 5-10 minutes

  • Finish Line to Car Park: 15-25 minutes

The route includes uneven farm paths and steep inclines, making it unsuitable for child buggies, strollers or those who struggle to walk long distances. Please plan accordingly.

PARKING FEES

  • Pre-paid Parking:

    • If you have already paid for parking, bring your QR Code for scanning at entry.

    • If you haven't yet pre-purchased your car parking ticket, you can do so by clicking here and paying €9 per car.

    • Online ticket sales close at 23:59 on Tues 25th Feb - secure your car parking spot before the deadline!

  • On-the-day Payment:

    • €10 per car at the gate. Note that cash is much better for speed and efficiency so, to avoid delays, please arrange a trip to your local ATM and bring a tenner with you!

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

A limited number of parking spaces in Killruddery are reserved for individuals with limited mobility. Spaces are strictly first-come, first-served.

KEY REMINDERS

  • Check Digital Signs on approach for updated parking information.

NB: AIM TO ARRIVE AT LEAST 45-60 MINS BEFORE YOUR ALLOCATED START TIME!
