This Saturday 8th June, thousands of Hellraisers will be taking on the HELL & BACK 13KM or 8KM courses and, as we gear up for the big day, it's essential to plan your transportation wisely. To ensure a smooth and organized experience for all participants, we have devised a comprehensive car parking plan. Please see below for more details.
In the spirit of eco-friendliness and maximising space, we kindly request that all Hellraisers carpool wherever possible. Sharing a ride not only reduces traffic congestion but also minimizes our carbon footprint.
We expect over 2,000 cars arriving throughout the day so please be patient as we try to get everyone parked as quickly and safely as possible.
You should arrive and park AT LEAST 45-60 MINUTES before your allocated start time to allow you register, drop your car keys into the Secure Valuable Drop in the Lambing Shed and familiarise yourself with all the facilities and services in the Event Village before you start on your H&B adventure.
NB: AIM TO ARRIVE AT 45-60 MINS AHEAD OF YOUR ALLOCATED START TIME
CAR PARKING PLAN
Due to extensive construction taking place at the Main Killruddery Gates, parking is both on Killruddery grass fields and in the nearby IDA Business Park on Southern Cross Road. We will be alternating car parks throughout the day so please follow the Visual Display Signs on your approach to Killruddery for your designated car park - and obey the instructions of our car parking attendants who will guide you to an available space.
ADULT 13KM PARKING
The first car park to open on Saturday morning will be the IDA Car Park on Southern Cross Road for participants in the 13KM (Waves 1-4 from 08:50-09:45).
As you can see from the map above, for those of you parked in IDA, while you have a 10-15 minute walk to and from the Start / Finish Line, because you are entering and exiting onto a Roundabout, you will get in as quick and leave much quicker during peak traffic hours from 11:00-15:00.
ADULT 8KM PARKING
Adult 8KM participants (Waves 5-15 from 10:35-14:10) should follow the Visual Display Signs on your approach to Killruddery for your designated car park as you will be parking primarily in the grass fields of Killruddery but later the IDA on Southern Cross Road. Please follow the instructions of our car parking attendants who will guide you to an available space.
FAMILY & TEEN 8KM PARKING
All H&B Family 8KM and Teen 8KM participants will also be parking in the IDA Car Park on Southern Cross Road (Waves 16-18 from 14:55-15:30).
As you can see from the map above, for those of you parked in IDA, while you have a 10-15 minute walk to and from the Start / Finish Line, because you are entering and exiting onto a Roundabout, you will get in as quick and leave much quicker during peak traffic hours from 11:00-15:00.
PRE-PAID PARKING
If you have not yet pre-paid for parking, please do so ASAP by clicking here and paying the €9 for your parking ticket. Show the QR code, which will be emailed to you, to the parking attendants on Saturday for scanning.
If you have pre-paid for your parking, as above, please bring your QR Code with you on the day and, for speed of access, have it available for the parking attendant to scan.
There will then be a limited number of spaces available on the day, where you can pay €10 at the gate. Note that, on the day, cash is much better for speed and efficiency so, if you need to pay on the day, please arrange a trip to your local ATM in advance and bring a tenner with you!
